PAC Work Call - Week of November 26, 2007

The week of November 26 saw several 354 members assisting the Performing Arts Center house crew in some capital improvements including re-carpeting of the Westby Ballroom as well as extensive work on the on-hand stock of the well known"Chrome & Black" chairs. Simultaneous to the chair work, an assembly line approach was set up for the purpose of fabricating new chair dollies, which will find use early next year when new chairs arrive to replace the old ones.

Local 354 member and apprentice committee chairman Doug Mckisick flashes a sign at the camera as he grinds welds on a completed dolly.

Jimmy "CB" Taylor polishes welds with a rotary brush.

Randy Milligan uses his welding skills to tack square tubing to a new dolly as Mike Guilfoyle assists in holding the unit in place.

Randy Milligan completes final welds on a unit with his MIG equipment.

Back at the tube bender, Jeremy Byford and 354 member Terry Abell fabricate additional stock.

PAC house carpenter and 354 member Pat Sharp gives the photographer the evil eye for NOT buying lunch.

PAC technical director and 354 member John Raney observes final fabrication on the patio area of the loading dock.
